The Malaysian media industry has been hard hit post-GE14, as traditional media outlets struggle to stay afloat. Meanwhile, journalists and media staff are bearing the brunt of the shrinking industry, with thousands of jobs lost over the last six months. We speak to representatives of the NUJ and GeraMM on how journalists are coping with the changing landscape and whether the media industry can be revamped for the better.
