Afghanistan, Interrupted (Again)

The withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan and the return of the Taliban to government in August closed the chapter on the 20 year war sparked by the 9/11 terrorist attacks. What lessons can be gained from the US' failed nation-building mission in Afghanistan, and how has the war affected Western-Muslim engagement? We discuss these themes with Afghan-American writer and author Tamim Ansary.

Tamim was a speaker at the Khazanah Megatrends Forum 2021 this month.
