February 13th every year is designated World Radio Day by UNESCO to mark the importance of the medium as a free, portable and vital way to communicate with the population in remote places. Datuk Suhaimi Sulaiman is the Director-General of Broadcasting Department, overseeing Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) and has been with TV3, Astro Awani and Bernama before that. He discusses the relevance of public radio in today's digital world.
