Interest rates and requirements by banks are also not making it any easier for your average Malaysian to own his or her own home, let alone invest in real estate. Datuk Chang Kim Loong, secretary-general of the National House Buyers' Association and Datuk NK Tong, president of the Real Estate & Housing Developers' Association Malaysia both share why they think 100% home ownership target might not be something to strive for anymore.
