Concerns Abound In Amended 2024 Medical Act

The 2024 Medical Act amendment bill's proposal to consolidate authority under the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) without oversight from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) has sparked concerns about its impact on medical specialist training in Malaysia. Dr. Dayang Anita Abdul Aziz, Chair of the Health Committee for National Council of Women's Organisations Malaysia (NCWO) shares her insights into how these changes could affect our healthcare system.
