Budget 2025 saw an RM3.6 billion allocation for the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry as part of the government's efforts to empower women. This comes as Malaysia fell 12 rungs last year and now ranks 114th out of 146 countries in the World Economic Forum Gender Gap Index. Zati Hanani Zainol Abidin, Senior Advocacy Officer at the Women’s Aid Organisation shares her insights.
