Eligible voters in 6 states in Malaysia - Kedah, Penang, Selangor, Kelantan, Terengganu and Negeri Sembilan - are set to elect their respective state legislators on August 12th, and turnout is expected to be even more crucial this time around. Dr James Chin, Professor of Asian Studies at the University of Tasmania breaks down his observations as contesting parties reveal who they are fielding with the battle for the Malay vote heats up.
