The Malaysian Tourism Council (MTC) cried foul after it was deregistered by the Registrar of Societies last week for offenses under the Societies Act 1966. The MTC said it had cooperated fully, but there were “certain parties with ill intentions” that influenced this decision. We speak to Nigel Wong, President of the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) to find out what happened and how the country is trending towards achieving the 16 million tourist-target.
