The recent amendment to the Medical Act 1971 bill 2024 was passed in Dewan Rakyat on Wednesday, giving the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) control over medical specialist training and qualifications. We discuss the amended Act’s significant impact on the future of medical specialists with Dr. Kelvin Yii, Member of Parliament (MP) for Bandar Kuching.
