Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister Nik Nazmi said on Tuesday that the government is mulling changes to the Mineral Development Act in order to enhance the sustainability of the local rare earth industry. Dato’ Sia Hok Kiang, Fellow of the Academy of Science Malaysia and a senior council member of the Malaysian Chamber of Mines speaks on how environmental, social and governance aspects can be done better in the sector.
