Three Old People Trying To Understand The New Millenia

This week on A Bit of Culture, our trio of cultural curators tackle the topics of sharing personal information online, reminiscing lugging around encyclopedias, and investing your emotions. Uma questions the psychology of the desire to interact with people on Instagram’s questions feature and whether social media interactions count as genuine human interaction. Ann harks back to the pre-Wikipedia days of relying on specialized encyclopedias to find information and their novelty in the present. Last of all, Kam ponders why we feel emotionally invested in affairs that do not involve ourselves.
