Generation Census Discoverer

This week’s episode brings in Kam Raslan, Faiq Syazwan and Matt Armitage together to talk about the census, Spotify’s Discover Weekly feature and generation dead. Kam began the show with him tracing back his family roots in a small mining village in Wales circa 1911. He would also love to learn the history of the other part of his family that resided in Kuala Kangsar. That would be the job of the census. Which is coming up on the 7th of July 2020. So answer the door, folks! But is this method still relevant when data can be easily retrieved via data mining? Then Faiq shared his realisation that his Spotify Discover Weekly’s playlist isn’t that special and curated after all. This realisation came after stumbling upon The Teeth – Ballad of The Dead Rat. Finally, Matt concluded that the term ‘generation’ is dead because changes are happening too rapidly that the length of time that we use to differentiate generation has become meaningless.
