Ep113: Florence + The Machine

English group Florence + The Machine’s dramatic and often eccentric production helmed by the powerful vocals of frontwoman Florence Welch - often called one of the best vocalists of this generation - make for epic, bluesy indie rock that melds together folk and pop with lyrics filled with literary references, pre-Raphaelite imagery, and Welch’s confessional, reflective musings. With the 15th anniversary of their breakthrough debut studio album ‘Lungs’ this week, we go Back To Back through the band’s lush, genre-bending discography.
