Nissan's Tried and Tested EV Formula

Cruise Control returns this week brimming with news from in and around the automotive world, with more electric vehicles announced for the local market.

Top on our anticipated list of new EVs is Volvo's EX30, which will be the Swedish giant's contender in the B segment. Another car vying for attention in the same segment will be GAC's GS3, now facelifted and locally assembled ready to provide useful options for those interested.

Globally, Honda are also making moves in the B segment after unveiling an electrified version of the HR-V, dubbed as the e:NY1. With a name like that, maybe now anyone can drive an EV!

Turning our attention to the second hand market, we were quite perplexed to find a few units of Perodua Ativas and Proton X50s on sale. We discuss the probable reasons why and how these popular models ended up in the used car market. Pro tip though; brand new units of the two models have a lengthy waiting time, so why not give the barely used units a try?

We round off our electrified episode with another EV, as Daniel shares his impression of the latest iteration of the Nissan LEAF.
