The Cost of EV Battery Replacement

In this week's edition of Cruise Control, we preview Toyota GR's new fleet of vehicles, as well as new models by Maserati, Isuzu and Mercedes Benz.

As we previously discussed, Japanese giants Toyota are well on course in their bid for market domination with this week's introduction of not one, but five models that's been given the Gazoo Racing nod. Also new in the market, Maserati's Levante GT enters the game featuring a hybrid engine, Isuzu's D-Max gets an upgrade for their 2023 models, and the Mercedes Benz EQS 500 4 Matic, which is now locally assembled out of their production plant in Pekan, Pahang.

We then talk through a probable hurdle for EV owners once their batteries expire: how much it would cost to replace a power pack and what other considerations we need to know.
