Girls Jom Skate

Gender representation in an extreme sport like skating can sometimes be pretty lopsided, making the scene less welcoming for budding female skaters. Girls Jom Skate is an initiative that tries to address that, by creating a safe space for girls and women, to not only learn how to skate, but to also apply all the knowledge they gain from skating, in their daily lives. We caught up with the people behind the movement to find out how they are going to tackle this, and eventually create a new skating culture that is more accessible and empowering to all.
