Women at the News Frontier

In conjunction with World Press Freedom Day, we take a look at how the roles of women have evolved in the newsroom. No longer confined to the boundaries of soft journalism, we see women journalists increasingly making their marks in the conventionally male-dominated beats of sports, politics, technology, business, and more. We explore the tasks of journalists in the newsroom, the daily grind and adrenaline rush that come along with the job, breaking gender stereotypes in the profession and the meaning of media freedom.

This is a report by Aisyah Tajuddin and Sherilyn Goh.
