The title race heats up as the lead is exchanged once again, with Arsenal this time taking the top spot after GW17 taking all three points in a 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion, while a goal-less affair at Anfield v Manchester United demoted Liverpool to second. Elsewhere, points was also dropped for Pep Guardiola as a valiant 2-2 comeback from Crystal Palace was a damming outcome for Manchester City who are already in a poor run of form recently. Optimism arising at Chelsea as they returned to winning ways with a hard-fought victory v Sheffield United, while Everton climbed out of the relegation zone with a precious three points away to Burnley.
