Messi Steers Argentina To World Cup Glory

The 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar concluded with Argentina clinching the title in a game of epic proportions, as the Albicelestes triumph over Didier Deschamps' resilient French side at the Lusail Stadium last night. Both teams battled spectacularly over 120 minutes of play filled with nerve wracking drama; the Argentines eventually coming out tops in penalty shootouts.

Much of the hype was centered around Argentina's Lionel Messi and France's Kylian Mbappe and both players displayed their excellence leading their respective teams, as the outstanding Messi led his country to a historic third World Cup title - their first since Diego Maradona hoisted the cup in 1986.

Our pundits wax lyrical over this monumental win, look back at some of the best moments at the World Cup and look ahead to the next generation of talents as the competition draws to a close. All these and more on Just For Kicks!
