Of Kim Pan-Gon, FAM & Open Letters

After two back to back defeats to Oman, the landscape of football in Malaysia was shaken over the weekend amidst speculation of national team coach Kim Pan-Gon's resignation & circulation of a poison pen letter that hurled serious allegations, exposing issues related to the leadership and management of Football Association of Malaysia (FAM). We dissect the storm that's currently shaking the pillars of local football. After that, onto usual programming as the Manchester City & Arsenal tie failed to live up to the hype, ending in a goalless draw at the Etihad while goals galore at St James Park in a crazy comeback for Eddie Howe's men, coming back from two goals down, wielding the axe on West Ham to take the match 4-3. Elsewhere, Liverpool climbed to the pinnacle of the PL with a 2-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion, while captain Son Heung-Min made the difference - giving Tottenham Hotspurs all three points with a 2-1 win over Luton Town. We also unofficially, officially, crown Bayer Leverkusen champions of the Bundesliga while consoling Harry Kane whose Bayern team got outplayed by BVB in the Der Klassiker. All that and more on Just For Kicks.
