Cheongsam Chic

Having last been on our show back in April 2018 for her Hari Raya Collection, Izrin Ismail of Innai Red joins us again in the studio, this time for her 2019 Chinese New Year Collection. In collaboration with international award-winning jeweler, Choo Yilin, Innai Red’s new CNY collection mixes the best of the West and the East, by incorporating traditional jade elements with modern feminine cuts. Challenging the norms of traditional red Cheongsams, Innai Red elegantly weaves in lace and brocade pant suits into their colorful collection. With luxurious satin material, adorned with lovely jewelry and embellishments, Innai Red’s CNY collection beautifully balances the old and new Chinese elements. Next, Florence Song, Style Lead at Zalora, tells us about the popular 90’s functional-to-fashionable trend, bucket hats.
