Modern Modesty

This week, we pay tribute to the legendary fashion designer and creative director of Chanel and Fendi, Karl Lagerfeld, who passed away at the age of 85. We review his legacy and influence with local shoemaker Datuk Jimmy Choo, Heidi Nazarudin of Ambitionista and Harper’s Bazaar editor-in-chief, Natasha Kraal. Next up, taking a stand for exclusivity, individuality and oneness, Hanya exudes the best of women form, and focuses in positioning the right product at the right price point. Creating lovely, feminine pieces, made from luxurious fabrics, Hanya offers affordable clothing, without compromising the quality. Founded by husband and wife duo, Haan oversees the operations and business logistics of the brand, while Veen Dee focuses on the creative direction and styling. With a deep fascination and belief that every women can buy any clothing item, and still remain modest if they wish to do so, Hanya aims to educate the modern women in layering and styling pieces creatively to achieve this. Drawing inspiration from the classic 1950’s-era women, Hanya offers the best of elegant and experimental dressing. We wrap up with Florence Song, Style Lead at Zalora, with some style tips on how to transform your old acid wash denim, into a model-off-duty look.
