“The key to becoming successful in the café business is to drink more coffee”. Joey Mah, graduated with a degree in journalism in Liverpool. He came back and started working for a couple of publications and TV stations before moving on to become a barista. Joey has a major passion for coffee and photography. Artisan Roastery veteran and go-to-coffee-guy, Joey Mah has his own new pop-up café Nowhereman Coffee. Mah’s café, opened in November in Bangsar for a limited time – only six months.

Joey met Joe Chia via Instagram and helped bring together a group of people who share similar ambitions to open up Nowhereman Coffee. This six-month long pop-up is intended to introduce coffee in a more casual manner; no pressure, just good coffee. The space itself will be raw in design. They will be serving mainly the “Cough Syrup” blend. It’s a blend of Indonesian (Tobing Estate Bandung) and Colombian (La Joyeria Santa Barbera) beans. For non-coffee drinkers, they have single origin Vahlrona chocolate drinks, with a hint of sea salt.

He claims that he doesn’t have many dislikes unless, someone starts to annoy him!

For the record, Joey scored 18!
