Matt Bellotti

Tonight we had an important man from the Malaysian media in our midst. Usually he’s in for our football segment but now he’s in the studio to test out his wits on Smartypants. He’s is the one and only, Matt Bellotti!

Born and raised in Brighton, England. Matt studied at Trent during the turn of the century where he was (surprisingly) the Acting Editor for the Cricket Club and a council member for (unsurprisingly) the Newspaper Clubs and Societies. He travelled Europe extensively before coming over to Malaysia, testing out Asia with a 4-month stay.

As so it happens, Matt fell in love with Malaysia and decided to stay for good. He came in under Mongoose Publishing during the same time in early 2000’s. Ten years flew by and he is now the Chief Head of Content for Mongoose’s whole raft of magazines. He covers content for ELLE Malaysia, Time Out KL, Esquire Malaysia, Expatriate Lifestyle just to name a few.

Matt is widely accredited in creating Time Out KL’s trademark Comedy Thursday. He bagged the Media Publishing Company of the Year award in the 2014 MPAS Awards in Singapore and finally, his favourite football club is Tottenham Hotspurs. No Comment...

For the record, Matt scored 20!
