By The Way: $218K Kurt Cobain Art, Billie Jean 1B Views, Spotify Greenroom

By The Way is a rapid-fire segment that gives you a snapshot of developing stories in the music world. This week, a Kurt Cobain drawing was sold for $218,250, it was a self-portrait drawn by the legend himself during Nirvana’s promotional tour to Singapore back in 1992. Iconic song Billie Jean by the ‘King of Pop’ Michael Jackson hits a historic milestone on Youtube with over one billion views on the platform. Lastly, Spotify tapped into the “drop-in audio chat” realm and announced their version of it, called the ‘Spotify Greenroom’ with features that could potentially revolutionize the social network scene.
