By The Way, is a rapid-fire segment that gives you a snapshot of developing stories in the music world. This week, Spotify sets to roll out a new audio subscription option to its platform, Spotify HiFi, enabling users to have a high-quality music experience. Heavy metal band Metallica got censored on Twitch during their Blizzcon live performance due to a copyright censorship mechanism under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Besides that, Blizzard Entertainment puts out a warning to streamers regarding the use of Rock N’ Roll Racing’s music as it has not been cleared for streaming. Lastly, French electronic music duo Daft Punk calls it quits after 28 years of making music, hanging up the helmets and jackets for good.
