Music For The Soul

Pandemic fatigue and mental health have been words we come across ever since this health crisis hit. With isolation and the lack of social interactions, it can take a toll on one’s mental health. Music therapy has been an accepted form of healing since the 1800s, serving its catharsis purpose for many. This week on the program, we speak to Dr.Indra Selvarajah, founding president of the Malaysian Music Therapy Association (MMTA) to get her insights on music therapy, how music can be more than just a listening experience but also to be used as a coping mechanism, and the importance of it especially in this time of quarantine and uncertainty.
