Although Joe Flizzow's Havoc is about Subang Jaya, it's now an anthem that all Malaysians resonate with. It's a niche song that only Malaysians would understand. Now we see more Malaysian artists making music with local references and embracing their culture like MKNK. We discuss these two school of thoughts: making music for local or global audience.
