The Myanmar military and the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) reached a ceasefire agreement on Saturday, though the situation remains uncertain. Past agreements brokered by China in January 2024, have failed, raising concerns about the long-term viability of this accord. Lucas Myers, Senior Associate for Southeast Asia at the Wilson Center's Asia Program shares his insights on challenges ahead for the peace process.
