Feminist Fridays #59: Describe Yourself Like a Male Author Would

Writer and podcaster Whit Reynolds ignited a Twitter storm, when she challenged her Twitter followers to “describe yourself like a male author would.” The thousands of responses which have so far come through are both hilarious and cringe-worthy, and have highlighted the tendency of male authors to focus on the physical appearance of female characters. Lee Chwi Lynn and Sharmilla Ganesan weigh in on the discussion, while also discussing female representation in the media.
