Giftedness #2 - The Role of Schools

The goal of education is to engage students with appropriately challenging materials, but what is the role of schools when students have different levels of academic aptitude? The dilemma is especially pronounced when there is limited resources to allocate between setting up a gifted curriculum or investing in a special needs programme. Explaining the role schools can play in nurturing gifted and talented students is Dr. Philip Whitehead, an assistant professor of educational leadership and management.

This is the second episode in our series on gifted children, listen to Episode 1 - A Blessing or Challenge? where we spoke to Dr. Inderbir Sandhu, who is the former vice president of the National Association of Gifted Children Malaysia (NAGCM).
