One key platform over the decade for businesses and storytellers to communicate and engage with potential customers and their audiences has been Twitter, however since Elon Musk bought Twitter, the social media platform has gotten plenty of attention for a range of… let’s say questionable decisions.
From killing API integration of popular third party apps to changing how verified blue ticks work, the seemingly random decisions have had big influencers, storytellers, and businesses wondering whether Twitter is still a reliable way to communicate and engage with their respective audiences.
To further muddy the waters of Twitter’s relevance, Instagram is reportedly working on a new competitor to Twitter with a text-based app codenamed "P92", where users would log in with their Instagram details, and the app would use decentralized servers like Discord or open-source social network Mastodon.
With all these changes and potential challenges surrounding Twitter, today on BizBytes we’ve been exploring the role and relevance of Twitter and other social media platforms with Richard Ker, Chief Storyteller & Founder, Richard Ker Digital.
