Many Malaysian firms that sought to turn to digital solutions over the last two years have only used them for basic customer-facing functions such as a social media presence.

The lack of depth and breadth of SME digitisation could raise the risk of a growing digital divide, at a time when digitalisation is becoming more crucial to stay competitive.
