The latest adult fantasy novel from the author of American Gods, the Sandman comics series and much more, "The Ocean at the End of the Lane" by Neil Gaiman is described as "a beautifully crafted novel about the longing for home" and is said to capture the feeling of childhood, which is separate from the feeling of whimsical, uncertain, or otherwise childish adulthood.

Literary reviewer Umapagan Ampikaipakan discusses further.
