A deadly attack in Sungai Golok, near the Malaysia-Thailand border, has left two dead and 12 injured after masked assailants launched a coordinated assault using firearms and explosives. In response, Malaysian authorities have increased border security and advised against travel to the region. Security analyst Don Pathan joins us to discuss the escalating violence in Thailand’s Deep South and trace the history of the insurgency.
