The US v Google - Does The Government Have A Case?

Google will release its third-quarter results on Thursday and as we look ahead to that, a shadow looms over the company as it is faced with a landmark lawsuit from the US Department of Justice in what will be the biggest antitrust suit in 20 years.

The Justice Department argues that Google is a monopoly, is illegally maintaining that monopoly, and that Google’s dominance may stifle innovation and reduce choice in the long term.

That being said, Google is free and isn't directly hurting consumers, so does the DOJ have a case?
