Quarantine Books Twist

On this episode of A Bit of Culture, Kam Raslan has a chat with author and journalist, Kean Wong. The duo discuss on their quarantine reads – Fatal Shore by Robert Hughes and Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. Kean Wong delves into Fatal Shore, a grim record on the founding of Australia. He also touches on his new book, Rebirth: Reformasi, Resistance and Hope in New Malaysia. Then Kam shares how the classic book, Oliver Twist resonates with him during his isolation period. Both of them draw parallels of the books with the reality of Covid-19’s pandemic.
