Ban Billboard Advertising!

“We should ban billboard advertising!” says Kam as he starts this episode of A Bit of Culture by venting his frustration with billboards. Azmyl Yunor can relate to Kam’s frustration, drawing from his own experiences seeing all the different types of “interesting” billboards along the North-South Expressway, but former advertising guru Vernon Adrian Emuang defends their existence and their importance to the local councils and brands. Vernon then ruminates about how data science can be used to retrace our history in a more sophisticated way, and in the second part of the show, the “Bob Dylan of Bangi”, Azmyl gets the group to think about whether newsworthiness should be revised.
