Farewell, Golden Boy

The world of football mourns the loss of one of the sport’s renowned talents, Diego Armando Maradona who passed away at age 60. Regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, we pay tribute to the pint-sized attacker with Datuk George Joseph, a retired referee who had seen first-hand the early glimpses of Maradona’s career when he officiated the FIFA World Youth Championships match in 1979 - which Maradona’s Argentina won. He then met the man again in 1982 this time officiating Boca Juniors visit to face a Selangor selection at Stadium Merdeka. On The Good, The Bad & The Ugly - Romania's doping woes & English sports fans filling up stadiums again.
