Although most social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook require users to be at least 13 years old to register, Indonesian lawmakers feel they lack regulations and want to ban those under-17 from these platforms to protect children online. We discuss the implications of such a move, including how this will impact brands and their digital marketing strategies.
