Bhutan: More Than A Shangri-La

The Kingdom of Bhutan is often referred to as the happiest country, having pioneered the Gross National Happiness (GNH) Index as a multi-dimensional metric of national development, beyond GDP growth. But in the post-pandemic era, how is Bhutan navigating the geopolitical and socio-economic challenges that could threaten the well-being of its population? We discuss how Bhutan is revamping its image while staying true to its roots with His Excellency Tshering Tobgay, the Prime Minister of Bhutan. His book is titled, "Enlightened Leadership: Inside Bhutan’s Transition from Monarchy to Democracy."
